Supplier and production-document review
Use project-specific records to review the proposed production route, inspection points and packing arrangements.
What a useful production review contains
Ask for the responsible company, proposed manufacturing site, relevant process information and the people accountable for quality. A showroom photograph or an attractive product image does not establish factory ownership.
Request evidence for your selected product
The relevant records depend on construction. Textile products may need sewing, filling and finishing information; molded items require component and assembly controls. Agree whether a remote review, document review or independent visit is appropriate.
- Company identity and commercial contracting party.
- Proposed production site and subcontracting scope.
- Relevant material and process records.
- Sample traceability and inspection responsibilities.
- Packing and shipment-document responsibilities.
Keep the scope current
A facility or product document has a date and scope. Confirm that it applies to the current order and retain any changes. This page provides a buyer review framework; it does not claim a completed factory audit.
