Custom pet products, from brief to approval
Choose the development route that fits your product: adapt an existing construction, work from your specification or develop a new direction together.
Choose the right starting point
A custom project begins with the change you want to make and the commercial reason behind it. Color and labeling changes can follow a different route from new patterns, structural changes or new components. The brief identifies what is fixed and what needs development.
| Route | Starting point | Next approval |
|---|---|---|
| Private label | Existing construction with branding | Materials, artwork and packaging |
| OEM | Your specification or pattern | Sample against agreed dimensions |
| ODM | Collaborative development brief | Design scope and development sample |
A clear sequence of decisions
Move from a product brief to a proposed specification, sample review, revision record, commercial approval and production plan. Each step should close a question rather than create another version of the same untracked reference.
- Brief: use, market, quantity and timing.
- Specification: materials, dimensions and construction.
- Sample: appearance, function and care review.
- Approval: signed revision, packaging and quality criteria.
- Production: agreed checks and order records.
- Packing: measured carton data and shipment documents.
What changes the quote
Size count, material runs, color splits, trim, artwork, packaging, testing and trade terms affect a project together. MOQ and timing are confirmed against the selected build. A target quantity is useful; an unsupported universal minimum is not.
